THE ASK
The Port of Long Beach (POLB) is a massive hub of travel, transport, and worldwide commerce. POLB aimed to highlight its vast offerings as a leading import/export harbor and showcase its history in the Long Beach/Los Angeles Area, its engagement with the community to reduce the Port’s impact on the environment, and its commitment to evolving its practices towards a green and sustainable future.
Build a multi-purpose educational center. POLB partnered with Tessallate, Cinnabar, Sitara Systems, and FACULTY to create a space for business meetings and special events.
THE APPROACH
The Result
We created a space that showcased the port's vast capabilities and its commitment to a greener, brighter future, including:
• An interactive 3D fabricated map of the Port's piers and facilities. The map is connected to a large LED wall that changes depending on which pier is highlighted
• A touch-free interactive immersion into the port's commitment to community engagement and environmental practices
• A touch-free interactive screen highlights the Port's global connection and showcases that the POLB is the preeminent hub for US-Asia trade.
